We're ending this week with a killer eclair ($3.50), perhaps my favorite in the city. Head over to Duane Park Patisserie in Tribeca and have the eclair ($3.50) finished in dark chocolate. There's one communal table at the front of the bakery, so sit down, breathe in the scent of pastries baking in the back, and bite in. The choux pastry is slightly cool, and piped tight with pastry cream, a vibrant vanilla bean-studded mouthful. Utterly luxurious, the crackle-thin layer of chocolate easily gives way at the first bite. A sure winner!
