New to Fairway are Cinnamon Buns and Brioche Crowns by Sarah Black, formerly of Tom Cat Bakery, now the current bakery director at Fairway. Pictured above are the Cinnamon Buns ($1.49 each or $7.99 for the set of six). The brioche is sold as a crown of six buttery, golden rolls for $3.99, but it's the cinnamon buns I preferred most. Make sure to pop it in the oven for a few minutes before you eat. The exterior, laced in icing, gets just the slightest bit crisp, while the inner layers, rolled with cinnamon, butter and plenty of raisins, stay soft, moist, and plenty gooey. A messy affair, but a wonderfully sweet one. That, a cup of coffee, and you're set for the morning.
