Finding a great pasta dish is one of life's many little joys. From Po's Pea and Mint Paparadelle, to the Spaghetti Ai Fegatini Di Pollo at Caffe Falai, a memorable pasta can turn your day around completely. Add to this list the Scampi Ravioli ($17) at Locanda Verde. On the plate: no less than a dozen neatly folded half-moon raviolis, a stuffing of ricotta and shrimp, the pasta with just a bit of a bite. On top, sautéed zucchini, calamari, and rock shrimp—fresh, taut and crisp. The dish is bound with a golden scatter of toasted garlic and bread crumbs.

Lunchtime at Locanda Verde begins with their warm housemade focaccia, so be sure to save a bit: the bright scampi sauce just begs for dip. It's a gentle dish, light, though bold in flavors, leaving you satiated but not stuffed. Don't forget to pick up one of Karden DeMasco's sweets on your way out—lemon-fennel muffins, anyone?
