Granola can be associated with healthy hippie kibbles, but the small-batch Early Bird Granola from Brooklyn-based Nekisia Davis has a depth of flavor you just don't see in other granolas. What sets hers apart? Olive oil. Davis is kind of obsessed with olive oil—she puts it on everything, including her toast and pancakes. She starts with oats (the building block of granola) then adds a whole pile of other delicious ingredients like nuts, seeds, coconut, maple syrup, and salt, to create a crunchy-salty-sweet breakfast (or anytime) crack.
