We were devastated to hear about the massive kitchen fire at Brooklyn Star last month, one which has left the excellent Southern-style restaurant shuttered ever since. But they're trying to get back on their feet, starting with a fundraiser tomorrow, March 26th, at 8:00 pm.

Called the Brooklyn Star Hootenanny, the event will take place at The Brooklyn Kitchen; expect not only nibbles from the Brooklyn Star kitchen crew, but Momofuku Milk Bar sweets, beer from Brooklyn Brewery, whiskey from Wilfie and Nell and Whiskey Town—plus a hot-dog eating contest and a dunk tank (!).
