Sugar Rush: Northern Spy's Flourless Chocolate Cookies

First there is a crackle, a crunch—then just deep chocolaty goodness, simultaneously dark in flavor and light, very light, in texture. These are Flourless Chocolate Cookies, baked by Northern Spy Food Co. in the East Village. Cookies are pre-bagged and sold in threes for $3. They bear more resemblance to meringues than your typical cookie; they taste as intense as they look. Find the cookies near the cash register, tucked between glass jars of Nunu sweets and chocolate treats from Liddabits.
