Hot tea and one pistachio éclair ($3.50) at the recently opened Financier, in a space that once occupied Oren's Coffee in Grand Central Terminal. My friend Ray recommended this éclair, and a solid recommendation that was. A glossy finish of pistachio fondant dusted in nuts chopped and toasted. The filling? Full, rich pastry cream. Pistachio pastry cream, of course. The choux pastry itself could be more crisp, but the cream was stellar.
