First Look: DT Works, The Dessert Truck Store

Dessert Truck's storefront, called DT Works, officially opened for business today on the Lower East Side's Clinton Street (in a spot that formerly held Japanese dessert spot Luxi). The full menu once offered at the truck is available here, including my personal favorite: caramelized apples over puff pastry. Fresh whipped cream and cranberries to finish. Desserts are $6 apiece; $3 gets you hot chocolate or a milk chocolate bark with pretzels and hazelnuts. Seating is plentiful, and thank goodness, for we no longer have to hover in the cold around Astor Place. You will have to wait for next week for all the new sweets and goodies to come—but not to worry, we'll keep you posted!
