Sugar Rush: Caramel Crepes at Buenos Aires

Caramel crepes ($7) are an ideal way to finish off dinner at bustling Buenos Aires in the East Village. Two to an order, the crepes are thinly rolled and tightly arranged close to one another, and topped with a single strawberry. Filled with warm caramel, made in-house; the exterior is sugared and torched for a extra crisp, caramelized top. Each mouthful couples a gooey flow of caramel with a bit of crunch, with the crepe to bind it all together. Too sweet? Perhaps, a bit—the dessert would benefit from fresh whipped cream for balance. But sweet isn't a bad thing.
