New York State Brewers Make Merry
Saturday, January 30, 1:00 pm-4:00 pm
This beer tasting explores and celebrates three acclaimed New York producers: Captain Lawrence, Ithaca Beer Company and Chatham Brewing. Access is free and flights are between ten and twelve dollars. Learn Cassoulet
Saturday, January 30, 2:30 pm-3:30 pm
Savoy chefs Ryan Tate and Peter Hoffman will teach this class how to make cassoulet, the classic French stew. They will exhibit each step, including making duck confit and sausage from scratch. At the end of class, you will eat Savoy's version of cassoulet (braised pork shoulder, chorizo sausage and house-smoked pork belly) with a glass of wine. Call for required reservations. $45. Brooklyn Taco Experiment

Taco fans unite! All are invited to lend their palates and opinions to this taco competition, brought to us by cook-off experts Theo Peck and Nick Suarez. Sip on your complimentary Dos Equis beer while you eat your way through over 20 sweet and savory tacos. The French Institute Alliance Française commences its six-part tasting series featuring Chardonnay and Pinot Noir of Burgundy. Michael Madrigale, Chef Sommelier of Bar Boulud, will focus on these picks from the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune regions. $115. If your New Year's Resolution was to go after your culinary dreams, then this discussion is sure to be your inspiration. French Culinary Institute founder Dorothy Hamilton will speak with panelists such as Top Chef star Tom Colicchio and chocolatier Jacques Torres about how they turned their dreams into reality.
