It's hard to find a truly delicious tiramisu in this city, but I was blown away by dessert at Motorino, our readers' favorite pizza in New York. Generous on the chocolate, not heavy in the slightest, the ladyfinger center as airy as the soft layer of cream. The secret of Mathieu Palombino's old recipe?
The ladyfingers get really soft overnight as they absorb moisture from the coffee and the cream. (No alcohol, just straight espresso.) We make it at the end of the service each night for the next day, every day.
Impossible as it may be to save room for dessert here, I do recommend you try.
