This morning on Blondie and Brownie, formerly flagel-averse Brownie discovers that the flattened bagel is a perfect breakfast sandwich vehicle:

I generally don't go for bagel breakfast sandwiches because between the thickness of the bagel and all the filling, it's recipe for a jaw ache for me. Flagels give you the bagelike experience while making for a sandwich that you can still fit in your mouth. Win!

I'm inclined to agree —most bagel sandwiches require an intense jaw unhinging, and knowing how thick those from Windsor Bagels (where Brownie got this sandwich) can be, I'd imagine the flagel provides a far more edible alternative. But I know at least a few breakfasters who love the daunting girth of a real bagel sandwich.
