- Ricci at Marea, "warm toast slathered with sea urchin roe... offers exactly the sensation as kissing an extremely attractive person for the first time—a bolt of surprise and pleasure combined." [Sifton; NYT]
- Grits at Joseph Leonard are served with "fresh shrimp, in the proper Low Country style, and laced it with Cheddar and crinkly wheels of andouille sausage." [Platt; NYM]
- At Baoguette, there's "irresistible pan-fried rice cake—tiny duck egg atop spongy rice-noodle-like cubes, flavorful sausage, and green papaya." [Lyon; New Yorker]
- The Monkey Bar isn't about the food, of course. But there are a few highlights, like "oysters Rockefeller... [featuring] plump, silky bivalves and top-notch creamed spinach." [Cheshes; TONY]
