The Celebrity Chef Tour

Nothing tastes better than knowing that your dining dollars are going to a good cause. Now in its fifth year, the Celebrity Chef Tour (benefitting the James Beard foundation) will feature celebrity chef Jose Garcias and host Chef Mathew Weingarten. The evening includes hors d'oeurves and five to seven courses with complementing wines.

Noshes and Nibbles
Friday, October 16th, 1:00 p.m
Food events that allow you to sample many different foods from around the world are always a great way to get your bang for your buck. A celebration of many different cuisines, including (but not limited to) Japanese, Israeli, Belgian and Jewish-American. Sample the freshest hummus outside of Israel, sip hibiscus sangria, enjoy unique chocolate creations, brick-oven pizzas and much more. $45.00/ person. Brooklyn Flea
Saturday, October 17th, 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
The Brooklyn Flea always has a little something for everyone, and this weekend, foodies will be particularly pleased. Kheedim Oh, the man behind delicious Mama O's Kimchee, will be serving a kimchee salsa fresca with both his daikon and regular kimchees. Tom Mylan and Brent Young will also be spooning out a taste of their soon-to-open butcher shop, The Meat Hook, with homemade chili. Maid Marian Muffins by Jessica Vander Salm will make a rare appearance outside of Prospect Park and Park Slope where she regularly sells muffins off her blue Robin Hood bike. Apples on Orchard Day
Sunday, October 18th, 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The 2nd annual Apples on Orchard festival is a free outdoor festival celebrating New York City, the Lower East Side and of course, apples! Enjoy live music, tastings, games, and much more. Free admission, Orchard Street Between Broome and Grand; event website

Feast with Famous Faces
Monday, October 19th, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The 17th Annual Feast with Famous Faces is an extravagant culinary gala benefiting tthe Center for Hearing and Communication.
