Earlier today 270 people came together at ABC Studios to try and break the record for the World's Largest Pie Fight on Live! with Regis and Kelly. 1,500 pies were provided by Sara Lee, with baking done by Stew Leonard's. For the full gallery, visit Gothamist.

Wasting of food offends me more than Regis and Kelly. He needs to retire and she needs to eat something. Maybe some of the pie they wasted?

I hate hate hate food fights. Even as a child, when I'd see food fights or people getting pied in the face on TV, I wouldn't laugh. I would just think "What a waste of food..." It's offensive to people who go hungry.
