PrintTavern on the Green Will Be Operated By Manager of The Boathouse
One of Manhattan's most storied restaurants, Tavern on the Green in Central Park has experienced a real decline in recent years; back in February, the city's Parks Department announced a request for proposals for those who might want to take over its operation. Today, they've given word that Dean Poll—who currently runs the Boathouse restaurant, also in Central Park—will get that license. Expect a massive renovation and a $25 million capital investment, according to the Times.
