Per the blog Brooklyn the Borough: "At least one investor in the area, however, has bowed out. Whole Foods, who had planned to open a 68,000-square-foot store at Third Avenue and 3rd Street, tells Brooklyn the Borough, 'at this juncture we do not have immediate plans to open a new store in Brooklyn but do hope to be there someday soon.'"
