Tim Stark, tomato and pepper farmer extraordinaire, is also a fine writer to boot. His book Heirloom: Notes from an Accidental Tomato Farmer was first released last July and re-released this month in paperback. Stark will join forces with Esca chef-restaurateur Dave Pasternack, my co-author on The Young Man and the Sea (Note: Dave is not that young anymore), on Wednesday, July 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble in Greenwich Village. Tim will read from his book and who knows—no one is saying anything—but maybe Dave will rustle up something seriously delicious using stuff that Tim grows. This promises to be a seriously delicious event.
