The olive oil cake and cured olive cookie may be Abraço's claim to fame when it comes to baked goods, but don't forget about the rest of the family. I stopped in this past Sunday morning and was extra delighted with a wedge of raspberry upside-down cake. A simple, though extra-buttery cake base is flipped over a top of sweet and tart puréed raspberry. Plate and pair with a cup of hot tea on the side, and there is little more to desire.

P.S.: For you ricotta fans, don't pass up on the ricotta pain perdu, a slice of sweet battered bread with fresh ricotta folded in-between the sandwiched half.
