Pig Roast Tuesdays at Hearth Start Tonight

Do your plans tonight involve pig? Well, they really should. Or at least, one of the next Tuesdays before August 18 should. Starting tonight, Hearth is devoting Tuesday dinners to a three-course pigsplosion of a meal. The first course is a salad, but wait. A frisee salad with warm bacon vinaigrette and pork terrine with pickled vegetables, pistachios, apricots, and housemade mustard. Yeah, that is more like pig with a side of lettuce. The big second course is the baby piggy from Bev Eggleston's Eco Friendly Farms in Virginia, slow-roasted in the Tuscan tradition (stuffed with pork sausage) and served with creamed swiss chard and cannellini beans. For dessert, there will be pie. Does it really get any better? The answer is no.

Hearth is still taking reservations for tonight, and the three upcoming Tuesdays. The meal is $42 per person, plus $18 for optional wine/beer pairings. Call 646-602-1300 or book on OpenTable.
