The Kogi BBQ truck is in town from Los Angeles for the Citymeals-on-Wheels fundraiser (it's street food-themed) Monday night, but decided to spend an hour during lunchtime showing Midtown what the West Coast Korean taco phenomenon is all about. Since they are buds with the Dessert Truck, they will be borrowing the vehicle to most likely serve kimchi quesadillas from noon to 1 p.m. at the Dessert Truck's usual stomping grounds: 55th Street and Lexington Avenue. For a little introductory, read up on Kogi truck.

This is a glimpse of the assembly line inside the truck. Sadly, there's not enough time or space for everything that goes into the tacos, but Kogi's quesadilla flipper assured us that the alternative will be just as down-home Kogi. Check @kogibbq for updates tomorrow!
UPDATE: The $4 lunch special will include a Dessert Truck/Kogi duo plate, with all proceeds benefiting Citymeals-on-Wheels. Only 200 duo plates will be prepared.
