Even if some apartments are only fit for cookouts with Thumbelina and all her tiny pals, that won't stop urbanites from grilling during the summer. In this Washington Post piece, Melissa McCart points out two good portable charcoal grills: the Go-Anywhere Grill and the Smokey Joe Tuck-N-Carry, both by Weber. Portable gas grills are fine too, but it's the charcoal that renders that really good smoky flavor. Some other good tips: Use small cuts of meat, like lamb chops and skewers, and stack those skewers on top of each other to cut down on precious grill real estate.
