PrintSugar Rush: Rhubarb Shortcake Soft Serve at Momofuku Noodle Bar
If there was such thing as heaven in a cup, it would be a twist of rhubarb and shortcake soft serve with candied maple syrup crumbs on top. Aren't those gorgeous colors really something? It's a frozen rendition of last year's rhubarb shortcake at Momofuku Noodle Bar. The hard part is deciding whether you want this in a cup or cone. Best solution: have the soft serve in a cup, get the cone on the side. When you've cleaned up all the candied maple syrup topping, crush up the sugar cone over the remaining soft serve—positively lovely. Take it to go, and stroll on over to the benches on 10th Street and 2nd Avenue. Linger away the summer afternoon.

I love rhubarb, and this soft serve ice cream is certainly among one of my favorites from Noodle Bar. Love the combination of tart and sweet!

I had this today as part of a prix fixe lunch. The shortbread was amazing. The rhubarb not so much, but i'm not a fan of the stuff anyway. It was topped with maple sugar candy; really good.
