The Fulton Stall Market kicked off today with a dozen vendors lined up on South Street between Fulton and Beekman Streets. They will set up all summer long on Fridays and Saturdays between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Photos from this afternoon, after the jump.

Hoboken Farms had a lot of confident signage. Guaranteed!!! The best mozzarella. Period. The world's best!

They also sold homemade ravioli and other gourmet entrees made from ingredients grown on the farm.

Really good gingersnaps and other baked goods from Breezy Hill Orchard.

Pretty lattice pies too.

Eggs from Knoll Krest Farm.

Pasta, also from the Breezy Hill Orchard/Knoll Krest Farm table.

Produce from Stony Hill Farm Market in Chester, New Jersey.

Greens and dips from Sang Lee Farms.

Fish caught from Long Beach Island, New Jersey. "These guys were swimming yesterday," the guy behind the table said.

Valley Shepherd Creamery.

We weren't familiar with CupcakExpress and their $4 individually-packaged cupcakes. The lady working the booth recommends cinnamon. Actually, her endorsement was: "If someone had a gun up to my cat and I had to pick a flavor, I'd pick that one."

Yummy Coffee. All of profits generated after taxes go to philanthropies serving the autism community.

Fulton Stall Market is on South Street between Fulton and Beekman Street.

what a lovely spread! Too bad I'm not rich enough to support all the vendors. :)

those strawberries look great!

That LBI seafood vendor, Shore Catch, had some interesting scallops, too.

I was hoping you'd post about the market! I took a trip down there this morning. There was some nice stuff, but it was generally VERY overpriced. Much more expensive, and less variety, than Union Square. The mozzarella is indeed very good, but who knows if its the best in the world. The guy running Yummy is really great, though - he knows his stuff and he's dead set on donating all his money to autism non-profits, which is great. The people running the vegetable stand with the tomatoes couldn't answer a man when he asked if the tomatoes were relatively sweet - they had never tasted them. Questionable. I don't think I'll be going back (except maybe for Yummy coffee! =])

what a disappointment!! this market doesnt hold a candle to the union sq greenmarket! there was one short row of vendors selling overpriced produce and meat/fish out of coolers. the location is much less convenient than the greenmarket and has a tiny selection. i travelled all the way down to elbow my way through tourists and chain stores / restaurants only to find myself completely shocked by the so called market...
