Where to Eat in Midtown South

Donny of Eat to Blog makes a bold statement: "Midtown South sucks!" But follows it up with dishes around the nabe that make it less sucky. Like the eel over rice with japchae and soup from Woorijip, sweet potato fries and turkey burger from Brgr, and roast beef with “frizzled” onion, herb mayo, focaccia bread sandwich from ?Cafe Express. ("Don’t ask about the question mark, I have no idea. Maybe they’re trying to be the answer for every question you have. How is your dog doing? Cafe Express. Where did you get that shirt? Cafe Express.")

Haha . I work in the area and we call Cafe Express "Cafe Question Mark". They do have great sanwiches, including lots of vegetarian options.

I work in this area, too, and if you check the map on "Cheap ass eats" website, you can see there's a two-block radius that's devoid of food around my office. My saving grace is Waldy's Pizza on 6th avenue b/t 27th and 28th.

What area is Midtown South? 20s to 40s on the west side?
Soul Fixins is on 34th and 9th. You can get fried chicken, veggies, rice and lemonade for $7 at lunch.
