When it comes to frozen desserts along Bleecker Street, L'Arte del Gelato is always the first choice, and justly so. Grom is a distant second, and I venture into Cones every once in a big while. Last weekend, I dipped into the latter, home of South American-style artisanal ice cream, out of sheer convenience. The good majority of their flavors were decent though unmemorable, save for the corn—luxurious and lightly studded with sweet kernels. I'll still be heading to L'Arte del Gelato for my sweet cravings as warm nights approach, but if it's the distinct summery flavor of corn I crave, I'm heading straight for Cones.
