Photo of the Day: Panda Head Cake
As soon as I walked into Sun Mary Bakery in Flushing, I gravitated towards the display case of cakes—in particular, the bulbous panda head cake. With tiny nubbin arms. And unnaturally huge eyes. That stare uncomfortably deep into your soul. The orientation of the chocolate-based dilated pupils portray so much emotion. Is it worried? Is it nervous? Is it longing for a hug? I didn't have a reason to buy a panda head cake for myself, but when my birthday comes around, I might just have to get it.
