Sugar Rush: Brownie Sundae at Lula's Sweet Apothecary

We first checked in with Lula's Sweet Apothecary back in late 2008 when the vegan ice cream parlor first opened. Both vegans and non-vegans alike flock here for intense flavors and fresh ice cream churned out in small batches.

Options range from milkshakes to flurries and hot chocolate—all impressively dairy-free. However, my heart lies with the brownie sundae served in glass bowls. The pictured one includes strawberry, banana walnut-chocolate chunk, and peanut butter ice cream with brownies on the bottom, and whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, and a cherry on top. It comes with two scoops, but ambitious bellies can easily throw on a third. Even when it's ice cream temperature outside, this sundae should put a smile on your face.
