PrintPhoto of the Day: Panda Head Cake
As soon as I walked into Sun Mary Bakery in Flushing, I gravitated towards the display case of cakes—in particular, the bulbous panda head cake. With tiny nubbin arms. And unnaturally huge eyes. That stare uncomfortably deep into your soul. The orientation of the chocolate-based dilated pupils portray so much emotion. Is it worried? Is it nervous? Is it longing for a hug? I didn't have a reason to buy a panda head cake for myself, but when my birthday comes around, I might just have to get it.

I might feel a tad uneasy about slicing into that panda head. I'd still eat it, but its eyes are like the Mona Lisa.

You need a reason to buy a panda head cake? I just hope the cake isn't red velvet. That could be disconcerting when you cut into it.......

I'm not usually into the cute cake stuff but I would have bought that little guy in a heartbeat! I dont think I could have eaten it though, just too cute!

Oooh maybe they'd make you a manatee head cake! Just make sure your stuffed manatee friends aren't in the room when you slice into it....

it says you want to be loved by pandas! and who doesnt... except when you jump in the panda enclosure at the zoo, and try to give them a hug, they will maul you.
