We're excited to hang with pal Robb Walsh, food writer extraordinaire of the Houston Press, tomorrow at his book signing at Grand Central Oyster Bar. He'll have copies of his latest work Sex, Death and Oysters: A Half-Shell Lover's World Tour on-hand during the two signing/kicking back sessions: from 12 to 2:30 p.m. in the cocktail lounge and 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the dining room.

Though you wouldn't think pricey oysters are on everyone's to-do right now, Sandy Ingber, the head chef and oyster buyer at the Grand Central Oyster Bar, said quite the opposite. He told Walsh: "We have been riding an oyster high since the turn of the century, and the oyster business is still hot. There doesn't seem to be a letdown in oyster demand." Ingber bought extra supplies for Valentine's weekend, expecting to sell around 10,000 half-shell oysters this Friday and Saturday alone.

Throw back some oysters, meet Walsh, and appreciate the awesome book title.
