Clockwise from top: Blue Smoke, Dinosaur BBQ, and Rub BBQ.

With chicken production down five percent because of high feed prices, a simple supply-demand chart will tell you that Super Bowlers had a tougher time eating wings yesterday. As the New York Times reported, one wholesale chicken buyer paid $1.10 a pound for wings five months ago, while last week, he paid $1.86. Stephen Colbert even invited a chicken industry insider to the Colbert Report recently to ask, "what other country can we invade to fix this?”

A call around to some of New York's favorite chicken wing sources proved that we might have invaded those countries. Because there were plenty of red-orange fingernails yesterday. Whoa there, Atomic Wings.
