Sugar Rush: Apple Fritters at Telepan

Some desserts, you just really, really do not want to share. This includes the apple fritter, currently featured on Telepan's dessert menu. Two apple rings, lightly battered, then fried dark and crisp. It's far from airy light, but not the least bit greasy. The rings are generously dipped in cinnamon-sugar, enough to leave sweet dustings on your lips, and bound by a round of cinnamon ice cream. The drizzled caramel sauce could be more complex and rich, but who's to complain when attention should instead be focused on hot fried dough.

The order and manner in which you conquer this dessert—fritter or ice cream first? Both at the same time?—is purely up to you. But whatever you decide, don't commit my silly error of ordering a deep-fried entrée to preface the deep-fried dessert, no matter how loud the siren calls.
