We love when Midtown Lunch king Zach eats somewhere outside Midtown and gives us the exclusive report. Today, he and his wife Sarah lucked into the first lunch service at the newly-reopened Kefi.

for the record, i wasn't cheating on midtown... i had to take my kid to the pediatrician's office on the UWS (and fat guy has got to eat, right?)

Definitely, man. Since the rustic Greek restaurant has been slammed each night, they've held off on lunch service until today. The menu is pared down from the dinner menu (no sweetbreads sadly) with sandwiches, salads, appetizers and a few familiar-looking entrees.

According to Zach: "it was pretty awesome..."

But the real thanks here goes to Harry Sheldon for having a doc's appointment today!
