Is the abusive practice of London restaurant owners, of claiming a certain portion of waitstaff's tips migrating to the US? If so, I hope it's clamped down on. Tips are important as even at the best restaurants, waitstaff's wages are deliberately kept low because they are reminded of the potential for tips.

I had a friend who worked at Craftbar and he said the accusations are bullsh*t. According to him, their tips were never misappropriated, and they got paid overtime, etc. The whole nine yards.
