Editor's note: Everyday weekday until Christmas, we'll have a daily hot chocolate report for you. 'Tis the season. Today, the Dessert Truck, which scoots around Manhattan all week long.

Price: $5 for eight ounces (there's only one size)
The deal: If you like goopy, throat-coating, borderline soup consistency hot chocolate, this is for you. After just two sips, I felt like my chocolate intake had maxed out for the next year. Then my veins seemed to swell, and before I knew it, I felt borderline buzzed—as did fellow Serious Eater Robyn. Don't get me wrong, the chocolate quality is good, but as the menu professes, "this is the real deal." Do not order this if you're joking around. Made with Valrhona and Guittard chocolates and heavy cream, it's tough to finish off even if you're guilty of drinking brownie batters. I am still recovering with water.
