New Veselka on the Bowery Finally Gets Liquor Approval
Veselka Bowery, the institutional Ukranian diner's third location if you count the Little Veselka at First Avenue and 1st Street, won't open until next fall, but they will be serving booze. Last night at the Community Board 3 meeting, the SLA Licensing Committee approved of the new spot's liquor license, reversing a decision they made ten months ago.
The current offerings at the East Village homebase include Ukranian beers Obolon and Slavutych, in addition to the usual suspects on draft (Stella, Brooklyn Lager, Pilsner Urquel).
