Jean-Georges Feels Yuletide, Makes Prix-Fixe Meals Cheaper
Jean-Georges Vongerichten doesn't want us penny-pinching diners to fear the white tablecloth meals this holiday season.
In a blog post titled "My Gift To You This Season," he says: "I'm offering prix-fixe lunch for $24 and prix-fixe dinner for $35 at my restaurants in the city."
We're a little confused since the prix-fixe lunch was always $24 at Perry St. and Nougatine, and it's not even being offered at the actual Jean Georges restaurant. Ed believes the best deal is still the $14 per-course lunch at Jean Georges (which also includes an amuse-bouche and petit fours, so it's basically three courses).
In conclusion, we're not sure this "deal" is really that big of a deal, but think Vongerichten looks cute in a Santa hat.
