Momofuku Milk Bar To Serve Unkosher Challah!

20081110milkbar.jpgEater is all over the new Momofuku Milk Bar opening, posting plywood shots this morning and (more importantly to us) a copy of the full menu this afternoon. The menu is too deliciously overwhelming to even start discussing (you might as well just look at the whole thing), but out of all the soft serve flavors, cookies, cakes, pies, and breads, one thing did happen to stand out: "chorizo challah". Why stop there? Throw in some shrimp, and top the whole thing with bacon. And the fact that it's being served in a "milk bar" just makes it that much better. Amazing.

On my to eat list:
Salty pistachio caramel soft serve with brown butter solids
Fudge brownie soft serve with peanut butter havlah
Coca cola cherries (just to see how they are)
Julep crumps (not sure what these are)
Crack pie (interesting)
Candy bar pie (but what candy bar?)
Blondie pumpkin pie (I hope that they keep the white chocolate on top, like the Ssam Bar version)
Compost cookie (made up of leftovers?)

Actually the entire third column with the savories and breads sounds amazing, especially since I've tried some of the housemade bread at Ko. Mmmm! Foccacia with bacon and kimchi? English muffin with egg, onion, and lardons? Breakfast pork and egg bun? Brown butter cinnamon bun with cheesecake filling?

Oh dude, I'm totally stopping in here for breakfast every morning! :)

Man it's gonna be SO crowded once it opens.
