Weekend Excursion: Vendys, Dim Sum, and Cupcakes
So much happening this weekend, and the Serious Eats staff plans on hitting it all up. A bunch of us are going to the Vendy Awards (of course), and you should too. As of noon today, there were less than 100 tickets left, so don't delay. There was also some grumbling around the office about possible dim sum action. If we do it, read about it Monday. One last thing we forgot to mention in the weekend food events listing: Monday is the start of "National Cupcake Week." To kick it off right, our good friends at Cupcakes Take the Cake will hold a Sunday bake sale at the Brooklyn Flea to benefit CancerCare for Kids. It's a good cause, and they make some mean cupcakes—so get out and support!
