Flying Foodies Rejoice! JetBlue Terminal 5 Opens Today at JFK
T5 Food Court Looks Promising

The next time Ed Levine gets stalked checking out the food at JFK it will likely be more upscale than Asian Bistro. I happened to fly in to JFK on the red eye from Los Angeles this morning in what turned out to be the opening of JetBlue's Terminal 5. It was 5 a.m., so most of the restaurants were closed, but it looks as if they are ready to go with tables set and menus displayed.
The T5 food court is accessible to ticketed passengers only.
Here's a list of eateries in the T5 food court; after the jump, more photos of the space.

Nick: I think you may have been on the first inbound flight to T5 -- "Our first flight into JFK's T5 from BUR might have had a bit more applause and high-fives on arrival than your typical red-eye". BUR = Burbank. Is that where you flew in from?

Piquillo is the brainchild of Alex from Tia Pol. Tapas before boarding. Perfecto.

@ Adam, that's right it was the first flight in.

Is overpriced airport food now a reason to celebrate? Do we also celebrate a few ounces of water for 4 bucks.
I prefer to pack food for the flight rather than deal with substandard quality and inflated prices.
