Bene Pizza in Brooklyn is a hidden gem, and their vodka slice is the special [Blondie and Brownie]
The Rojas Stand at the Red Hook ball fields sells Chilean empanadas with beef, onions, hard boiled egg, and olives [Eating in Translation]
The flatbread "pizzas" at Riposo 72 are excellent [Mona's Apple]
In Midtown, you can make an entire lunch out of free samples (although we wouldn't recommend it) [Midtown Lunch]
