What's On Your Eating Agenda This Weekend?
If I find the time this is where I'll be headed this weekend:
Thai Market-960 Amsterdam Avenue (107th St.) 212-280-4575, Here's a quote from Marian Burros about the place "I could have wished for a little more depth in some of the dishes, like the tom yum goong soup with shrimp and lemon grass, but the lightly battered fried calamari with a sweet, slightly hot plum sauce were the kind you don't want to share. Add the fast, pleasant service, and this restaurant is a keeper."
Trois Pommes Patisserie, 260 Fifth Ave. (nr. Garfield Place) Park Slope, Brooklyn 718-230-3119 Bakery-ice cream shop opened by former Union Square Pastry Chef Emily Isaac
Any serious eaters been to either of these places?

Stopped in to Trois Pommes last night after dinner at al di la - we didn't know it there, so it was quite a pleasant surprise. All we had was a small cup of about the best homemade caramel ice cream on the planet - it was really, really good. Got a small tour of the place - everything is made on premises - the cupcakes looked heavenly. We'll go back to grab some baked goods this weekend.

was here two weeks ago - I thought it was excellent. Great interior as well.

Going to a friend's house in Brooklyn to pick peaches from her backyard tree, then to Spumoni Gardens.
